Inglot Restraint System

The Device comprises four purposely designed attachments for use in conjunction with an ingot carrying road train which hauls aluminium ingots from Boyne Smelter to the nearby wharf.  The attachments hydraulically operate two fences installed on each of the two custom built quad axle trailers in the road train operated by QRX for this purpose.

The Ingot Constraint System consists of four hydraulically raised and lowered steel fences, which are used to surround the ingots whilst the road train is in transit. The fences are lowered to the sides of the trailers during loading and unloading operations in order to provide access for forklifts and reach stackers which handle the ingots. The fences are lagged with rubber on the ingot side, in order to prevent damage to the aluminium payload.
